What is Ego Spirituality?

What is ego spirituality? I haven’t a clue. Seems like a contradiction in terms though. Maybe it’s something Freudian and deals with the id, the ego and the super ego. Then again, Freud and spirituality, not so much either.

Anyhow, happy Monday. My mom just returned from a month in South Africa. Naturally, the first thing I asked her was if she’d seen any hot World Cup soccer players. Not a one, unfortunately. She did tell me that the hippos were dangerous and had killed many a local. Whew. Glad she’s back safe and sound…

And on another front, I got a lot of information this weekend from one of the characters in Mystic Mania (protecting my source this time) about what happens currently in the state of California if you attempt to fight a moving violation and lose. If you lose, you still have to pay the fine, go to traffic school and get the points. If you don’t fight the ticket you still have to pay the fine and go to traffic school, no points. She opted not to fight the ticket (running a stop sign). She also opted not to pay the ticket and do community service instead. At Goodwill. Where she was on her feet hanging clothes for five hours, not allowed even a five minute break and treated like a “criminal” by to her supervisor. She also wasn’t allowed to purchase any clothes. Used Armani and whatnot. She promptly left, cancelled the balance of her community service and paid the fine. She feels really sorry for the woman she met in court who had a slew of parking tickets and went for the 2000 hour community service option.
